Resolving details, structure, sections, program to understand the spaces and qualities in our projects
Step 1: Sequences
diagram over how to organize a the program so that you would "force" the visitor to be exposed to all programs and all users.
aiming for a mixed program at each floor, creating a bigger flow and movement between spaces and people

prototype of new structural system of building
floors transforming from bottom to top, creating a gradient from one extreme to another.
bottom floor with more enclosed rooms as the further you get it transforms into more open plan qualities.
a consistant spine running through the building

Mass & Crust studies with Victor Nyman

With inspiration from carvings and flow in the ground, we started experimenting with a pattern that follows certain rules according to movement that subdivides into spaces of different qualities.
To create a mass we tried to multiply and blendshape the pattern into different forms, creating more 3 dimensional spaces out of the lines of a very 2 dimensional form.

From analysis to structure

Going from earlier site analysis with John Cramer and David Wolthers to a structure and volume
The structure became a movement/flow in volume
A way to move around and take part of every part of site and it’s different qualities

Inspiration

Web relying on structure & Web creating layers of different opacity
Multiple layering/ Opacity effects & transition between outside/inside / Wrapping around
How the layering became structure→ transition from different functions into new ones→ floor to wall to roof to terraces etc.

Site analysis

Obsolete/ Chaotic environment/ No relationship between buildings
The web as a metaphore of structure and connecting

Still under construction...
